The Life and Theology of Francis Schaeffer

Out of stock

This study of American cultural-apologist Francis Schaeffer is designed to present; (1) a context to the man and his life; and (2) what is the theology that gave rise to this man’s philosophical understanding of God, the world, man, and our duty in transforming our culture and society according to the Word of God. Schaeffer’s essential ideas are not new, actually they are old. Old is often good if it is based on the principles of God’s Word. And there are times where Dr. Crampton points out differences in Dr. Schaeffer’s thought and his own. Yet, Dr. Crampton praises Schaeffer’s understanding that American culture and society has got to be changed, and those changes will only work if they are based in a Christian society that follows the Bible in every area of life. In this concise overview, Dr. Gary Crampton has written a book that is a must read prior to commencing an in-depth study into the man, his method, and theo-philosophical ideas. I highly recommend this book.
